Hello, I’m Mima — the artist behind Portraits by Mima.
I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil — my earliest memories are filled with sketchbooks, creativity, and the quiet joy of bringing images to life on paper. Art has been my lifelong passion, and over the years, it’s grown into not only a deep personal journey but also a way for me to connect with others on a heartfelt level.
Originally trained in textile and fashion design, I completed my studies in College with a focus on creativity, detail, and expression through visual storytelling. While I’ve explored many forms of art throughout my life — from graphite to colored pencils, pastels, and charcoal — it was in recent years that I found my true calling: creating realistic and soulful portraits of pets and animals.
There’s something incredibly meaningful about capturing the spirit, love, and personality of a beloved companion. Each piece I create is not just a drawing — it's a tribute, a memory, and often, a gift that brings joy and tears.
I’ve shared my journey online under the name Mima’s Artwork for many years, and through social media, I’ve been able to grow a beautiful community of fellow art lovers, pet owners, and supporters. My work has reached people across the world, and I continue to evolve every day — not only as an artist but also as a storyteller of the human-animal bond.
Today, I am 32 years old and more dedicated than ever to the calling I absolutely love.
